Your Healthy Mouth Assessment is our chance to introduce ourselves to you and really find out what you hope to achieve from your regular dentist visits.
As part of our getting to know you, we’ll chat about your general health and medication and your habits concerning diet, smoking and alcohol.
As part of a thorough assessment of your mouth, teeth and gums, we’ll check for any signs of oral cancer. Early detection of cancer is vital to successful treatment.
We’ll look at your bite – how your teeth meet and move across each other – and assess the jaw joint for any problems that may be developing.
Where necessary, we will take x-rays of your teeth and jaw. For those considering cosmetic treatments, we can take ‘before’ photos for later comparison.
All of our dentists work on Healthy Mouth Assessments and we can’t wait to meet you! If there’s a particular dentist that you like to see, please ask our admin team when booking your next appointment and we’ll do our best to make them available to you.
